He's also incredibly smart, sometimes too smart for his own good! He’s even taught himself how to turn the hose on (if only he’d turn it off too, haha!). Just look at this handsome boy! Not only does he have phenomenal looks, but his personality is equally as impressive. Dutch is the perfect example of a heart of gold. He’s full of funny quirks that make him even more lovable, such as, he loves to "dance" to Drake songs, insists on having an audience while he eats, and can happily watch TV for hours. His patience and good nature shine through in everything he does. Dutch is also one of the most well behaved males I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He’s calm, obedient, and attentive. Dutch’s loyalty and gentle attitude make him a true standout in every way, he’s the perfect companion, and a true testament to what a great dog should be! He’s the kind of boy who smiles on command, and hops around like a bunny for laughs. Despite his silly side, he’s also a well mannered, attentive boy who listens incredibly well. Nirvana is definitely a momma’s boy, always by my side, no matter where I go. We worked so hard together, preparing for the show ring, and he’s proven time and time again that he excels at whatever task I ask of him. Bachelor, or "Bach" is a homegrown boy out of Fancy and Zeppelin! We are extremely excited for this boy's future! I had a tall order for Fancy and Zeppelin, and they delivered on every front. The temperament we were hoping for is spot on, the conformation we strive for is there, he's a healthy boy, and he is the twin version of Fancy! He couldn’t have turned out any more perfect and we can’t wait to watch him blossom into adulthood! DREAM. COME. TRUE Color Testing: Mm Ssp Kbky Atat Bb Eme (he is NOT double merle) Health Testing: DM- clear VwD1- clear NEwS- clear prcd-PRA- clear PennHip and OFA will be completed when age appropriate! *Fancy and her puppies are often the topic of conversation, with many questions arising due to their unique appearance. Here's what we know about their pattern so far: First off, color testing has confirmed that Fancy and her puppies are NOT double merles, and we do not have any double merles in our program. Neither Fancy nor her puppies experience any hearing or vision impairments. Additionally, Fancy has tested as S/S, meaning she is not a parti and does not carry the parti gene, despite the significant amount of white on her coat. The two pups we have kept out of Fancy have both tested as S/sp, meaning they carry the parti gene, but are not actually parti. This distinctive pattern has been observed in only a small number of poodles worldwide, many of which are companion dogs and have been spayed or neutered. As a result, this pattern is extremely scarce. Fancy is one of the few poodles capable of producing it, making her and her puppies truly exceptional. While there isn't enough research or color testing yet to fully identify this pattern, we’ve consulted with geneticists who have helped us develop a few well supported theories. It’s believed that this pattern may result from a combination of the whitehead gene with merle, an untestable spotting/piebald gene combined with merle, or potentially both! There’s also the possibility that her base pair numbers might be 1-2 higher than what she tested at (267), and that harlequin merle could play a role as well. One thing is certain, it’s a fascinating mystery, and we’re excited to dig deeper and learn more about it! |
